Unlumo is developed and maintained by Ma Zhongji (原无奇变 ARCHEON), based in mainland China. Contact YWQB8A@163.com for privacy, data and support requests. This policy covers the app and its information pages on archeon.cn. Material changes to data handling will be explained in an updated policy, with renewed consent where required.
On-device records
No account is required. Questions, answers, message text, recordings, selected media and appearance settings are stored on your device by default. Reflection calculations run locally. There is no developer diary server, third-party generative AI, advertising, behavioral analytics, data sale or cross-app tracking. The developer cannot remotely read or recover your local records.
Optional permissions and Apple services
Permissions are requested when a feature needs them: camera for attachments; the system picker for selected photos, videos or Live Photos; photo-library permission for recent-photo browsing; microphone for recording; Apple speech recognition for transcription. Processing depends on the device, language and Apple service, so not every language is guaranteed offline. Reminder, alarm and motion access support reminders you create and the local die. Text journaling works without these permissions; revoke them in system Settings. Imported files are copied locally and may retain original metadata.
Weather and location
Weather is optional. With permission, foreground location rounded to approximately 0.01 degrees is used with Apple geocoding and WeatherKit. You can select a city manually or turn weather off. The developer does not receive your location. Weather and lunar-calendar snapshots may be saved with notes and messages on your device and are not retroactively rewritten. Weather may be missing or outdated and is not for safety decisions. Apple processes requests under its privacy policy.
Regional calendar and holidays
Dates, weekdays and the first day of the week follow device region settings. The holiday region can follow the system or be selected manually, independently of app language. The app includes an offline reference for common holidays in 14 regions for 2025–2028, not every local holiday or official work/rest-day schedule. Estimated dates are marked. Unsupported regions or years do not fall back to another region. No location permission is requested to determine the region, and no calendars or notes are uploaded for this feature.
Retention, backups and deletion
Records stay until you delete them. Deleted notes remain in Trash for 30 days, then are purged on the next storage read or foreground check; you can empty Trash sooner. Optional iCloud Drive snapshots use your Apple account. Automatic backup checks run while the app is running, not as guaranteed continuous background sync. System iCloud Backup is separate. Exports and app snapshots are not additionally encrypted vaults. Local deletion does not erase old backups, emails or saved files; manage each separately. Offloading may retain app data; Delete App removes its local container.
Voluntary feedback and diagnostics
Feedback is never sent automatically. If you attach diagnostics, system mail or sharing can include device model, OS/app versions, up to 60 fixed-category page events and 20 sanitized error stacks. No diary, messages, media, location, search terms or unique device IDs are included. Without logs, only model and versions are prefilled and editable. Diagnostics stay in bounded session memory and clear on restart; temporary attachments clear after sharing or next launch. Only after you send will your chosen mail service and the support mailbox in mainland China receive the content. Avoid unnecessary sensitive details. Received feedback is retained only as needed to resolve it.
Purchases and downloads
The app, all note styles, custom entry covers and journaling are free. One non-consumable purchase unlocks custom global wallpapers and base themes, without renewal; restore with the same Apple account. Future separately sold themes or content are excluded. Paid appearances can be previewed. Creating notes, starting reflection, entering chat text or adding media while previewing prompts for purchase. Switch to a free appearance to keep journaling free; existing records remain available. The local App Store and Apple confirmation show the actual price. Apple verifies transactions; the developer receives no payment-card number or account password and does not link purchases to diary entries. Some assets download on demand from Apple (iOS 26 or later) and can then be used offline. Online catalogs may be empty while content is added gradually; no specific update date is promised. Refunds or revocation may remove entitlement.
Website and external links
The website has no ads, third-party analytics, forms, external fonts or tracking scripts. Browser language selects the initial language; a manual preference is stored only in your browser. Visits still send IP address, request time/path and browser information to the host, whose operational/security logs are retained according to actual settings and legal requirements. Opening the website does not transmit diary entries. Taobao and social platforms are independent third parties with their own policies. This website does not sell the app’s digital unlock.
Your choices and rights
View, correct, export and delete records in the app, manage Trash, and revoke permissions in Settings. The developer only accesses feedback you send. For access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent or complaints about that information, contact the published email; only proportionate identity checks will be requested. Other statutory rights and complaints to competent authorities remain available. This is not a child-directed product. Minors should use it with guardian guidance; do not send sensitive child information in feedback.
